Vega

July 8, 2015 By Danielle Leave a Comment

I hope that the fourth was as full of fireworks and under-cooked potato salad as mine was (note to self: stay away from under-cooked potato salad). I wanted to take a moment to stoke out the furriest of my friends to the internet sphere – my black labrador Vega. If there was ever such a creature to inhabit my heart she is most definitely the culprit. This past Monday she turned a wholesome one, and it is only my degree to wish her many more years.

Vega is one of the brightest stars in the sky, and she is most definitely my entire atmosphere. She is a constant source of my enlightenment and a sincere friend of the garden (except for her vendetta against the carrot bed). What she doesn’t dig up makes us stronger, and what we don’t know she’s thinking about digging up won’t hurt us.

In essence, I wanted to wish this special girl a Happy first Birthday. Cheers to you puppy, thank you for cultivating the land beside us for a year. May you continually root a sun deeper and more golden than any of us can see.
